Building Pathfinder

About Building PathFinder

This site was developed to assist with the energy and carbon literacy of building projects. It is intended as an educational resource for understanding the building performance impacts of design decisions. This site currently includes the exploration of different archetypes of multi-unit residential buildings in British Columbia, with a focus on metrics relating to the City of Vancouver’s Zero Emissions Building Plan and the BC Energy Step Code. The Building PathFinder website was originally developed by the Open Green Building Society, the non-profit affiliate of OPEN Technologies. The embodied carbon site was developed by and ongoing maintenance is provided by OPEN Technologies directly.
